Adding Art to "My Portfolio"

To add art to your gallery Go To "My Portfolio." This is the data bank of your gallery. Keep track of your art here, upload images and place your art for sale.

Choose: Limited Edition from Database, Limited Edition Not Meeting Leap Criteria, Original Artwork, Photograph, Poster or Open Edition Print

Limited Edition from Database - LEAPdirect has an ever-growing list of limited edition art prints by all manner of artists, subjects, styles, etc. If yours is already listed, it's easy to add your edition number to your portfolio. Just Find the artist's name in the Artist Index and go from there. If it's not already in the database, and it fits the criteria, request that it be added. This is also done from the Artist Index. If it fits, we will add it to the database and then it will be available for you to add to your portfolio, as well as others members, who own part of the edition, to add to theirs.

What is the critieria for inclusion to the Artist Index for Limited Edition Art Prints?
Currently our minimum edition range is 25 for a limited edition titled work. It must also have a finite edition number. For example, Bev Doolittle has many limited editions such as her "EAGLE HEART - LITHOGRAPH " with an edition size of 48,000. This print will not be printed again and fits our criteria.

Our research team must make the decision for approval or denial of a print’s inclusion into the database fairly quickly due to the number of requests we receive.  Also, once a print is included we should never need to research that print again, or have reason to remove it.  It is there forever so the decision to include a print is very important. For this reason, most submissions for approval are denied. As a general rule, prints must be able to be verified matching artist’s name, title of print, image size, medium used, and edition size with a high level internet search. Depending on the availability of information available with the first attempt, a decision is made whether or not more research into an individual print is warranted.

If artwork is not considered a limited edition to be included in the Artist Index of Limited Edition artists, it is still very welcome on LEAPdirect. That is where the Member Profile Index works for all of our members. Your work can be included here and sold in the Members Currently Offering listings. It can be included in the Unregistered Limited Edition or as Original Artwork, Photograph, Poster or Open Edition Print.

If it does not fit, you have lots of other choices...

Unregistered Limited Edition - If your limited edition work does not meet the criteria to be added to LEAPdirect's database, don't despair! We've got you covered. You can still add it here.

Original Artwork, Photograph, Poster or Open Edition Print - Of course, not all art is produced in editions, there is so much more and we haven’t forgotten these. Just choose what fits the best and add it all to your portfolio.

From here you just Fill in the blanks - as much or little as you choose. LEAPdirect is a great place to keep track of your art inventory.

Don't forget to Upload images of your art. It makes a great record and if you want to sell art, it's a must.
