Discussion Forum Guidelines

LEAPdirect.com has created Discussion Forums for the benefit, use and enjoyment of members and guests of the site. Courtesy and respect for others is essential and is expected by all users of the forums.

Our goal is to provide you with the best venue to record, track, buy and sell your Limited Edition Art Prints. To that goal we have developed the following guidelines which govern participation in the LEAPdirect Discussion Forum. Participation in the forum means that you agree to abide by and uphold these guidelines.
The Discussion Forums are organized by pre-determined Forums. New Threads can be started by members. Multiple Threads can be followed within the Forums. Posts, or replies to previous posts, are the way to connect between members. Searching will find all posts under any forum with the keywords used.

Registered members have full use of the Discussion Forum. Guests to the site can utilize the Forums on a read-only basis. Membership is easy and free so sign-up today!

Following are some guidelines to remember:

Do not harass, abuse, or threaten other members.

Do not post content that is obscene or otherwise objectionable. Some art may be considered adult-oriented. Although this is permitted on the site, please be aware of comments and images that may be posted on the site. Consider other members when posting comments or images concerning this type of art.

 Use of the “Report Abuse” feature should be used with discretion. However, the final determination of whether  the posting will be edited or deleted will be at the sole discretion of LEAPdirect.com staff.

 
The Discussion Forum is not to be used for commercial or advertising purposes, or for any illegal purposes. This includes posts that are considered overt, unsolicited personal advertisements, except in places where such advertising is explicitly allowed.This includes posts that contain links to websites selling services or products. (Example: "Check out my site, www.siteurl.com. I am selling some great artwork.”)

Please do not "spam" or otherwise post in quantity through manual or automated methods.

Do not post content that infringes the legal rights of others, such as material that is defamatory or that makes use of copyrighted content without permission from the owner.

These guidelines are to be followed in conjunction with LEAPdirect.com’s Privacy Policy and User Agreement.

Along with the above guidelines, the following are common examples of violations that may result in immediate post editing or removal, warning, and/or suspension from the site:
  
 Including your own or another individual's contact information and/or email address in a post.

Including profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, disruptive, or hostile comments, interpersonal disputes, or threats of violence in a post.

Including material (graphic or text) that is obscene, pornographic or adult in nature.

Using JavaScript or active code; making repetitive or disruptive posts; or otherwise taking actions that interfere with site operations.

Attempting to impersonate LEAPdirect staff or other LEAPdirect members.

Encouraging others to violate LEAPdirect policies or User Agreement.

Advertising merchandise, auctions, services or commercial Web sites, including offers to trade, "wanted" posts, or charitable solicitations.

Refusing to follow LEAPdirect staff instructions.

Posting email content from private parties.

Posting material that in any way violates the LEAPdirect User Agreement or Discussion Forum Guidelines.

Posting Web addresses (URLs) or Web sites in the title of a threaded discussion.

Inappropriate threads started on Discussion Forum.

Discussing or reposting deleted posts or warning letters, or discussion of sanctioned or no longer registered members.

Misusing the “Report Abuse” function to maliciously or frivolously report content as not in compliance with the Discussion Forum Guidelines.

AnchorMessages posted to LEAPdirect’s Discussion Forums or via member e-mails are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the message.

LEAPdirect reserves the right to remove any post for any reason without warning or notice.

Suspension of one Member Username will apply to all of that member’s Usernames and everything associated with it, including but not limited to, My Portfolio and any listings of items for sale and may also apply to members of the same household.

The use of false registration information or creation of multiple accounts for use on LEAPdirect’s Discussion Forums for the purpose of disruption or to avoid detection may result in permanent suspension of all associated registrations.

Only persons aged 18 or over may post to the forums, without regard to whether an adult actually owns the registration or an underage person has some type of parental/guardian permission.

Reporters, researchers, and third party representatives need permission prior to posting or emailing members in their official capacity.

Posting copyrighted content without the permission of the copyright owner is not permitted.

As a reminder, please protect the integrity of your account and never give out your password, credit card information or other personal information to anyone via the Discussion Forum. No one from LEAPdirect.com will ever ask for this information via the discussion forums or e-mail.
